He is a photographer/graduated from LCC (UAL) artist based in Kanazawa, Ishikawa prefecture, Japan, and the founder of IACK. 各種メディア報道の他、アメリカ、イギリス、ドイツのアーティスト等による母国の政策に失望する旨の発信を目にする中、Matt Courtney (@joiningthedots) さんがイスラエル・パレスチナ情勢の現地のニュースを連日リポストしながら自身の思いを訴えている。彼の祖先はリトアニアのユダヤ人だったとのこと。日本からは物理的にも宗教的にも遠い国の出来事として捉える向きもあるかもしれないけれど、爆撃による数千人の犠牲者の半数が子供、白い布に包まれた我が子の遺体を抱きしめてキスする母の姿、水の確保も困難という報道もあった。人は生まれる国も親も選べない。しかし人権は無視されて良いのだろうか?

The charity print fundraiser in aid of Ukraine is now live, with limited editions of my prints on sale until May 1st 0:00 (JST). The aim of this sale is to help in my own small way with fundraising for Ukrainian relief. The photos are printed on 8×10 inch ILFORD GALERIE paper (Gold Fibre Pearl / 290gsm Acid-Free) using a home inkjet printer. My name is printed with a simple stamp on the reverse. Proceeds, minus shipping and handling fees, will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Relief fund.
I believe that, in the modern era, there can be no justification whatsoever for choosing war instead of dialogue and negotiation. Although I am in Japan and this conflict is taking place far away in Europe, I very much hope that it will be quickly and peacefully resolved.
