Local spring water ♯01
Regrettably, there are no washi studios in my home region. However, I print my photographs of local springs on Awa Washi from Tokushima, despite the 600 km distance. My intent is twofold: to overlay current landscapes with 700-year-old legends and folklore on paper, and to implicitly signify that pure water is the lifeblood of both the springs I photograph and the kozo paper I use.
