These are the bruises on my mother’s arms, who turns 90 this year.
Late last year, I began living with and caring for my elderly parents. Over the following month, I witnessed domestic violence from my father toward my mother. At the beginning of this year, my mother collapsed due to another issue and was rushed to the hospital. While the CT scan showed no abnormalities, she is now unable to walk on her own. I have since purchased a wheelchair to assist her with hospital visits. Since then, my father’s emotional outbursts seem to have calmed down slightly. I hope to regain my own peace of mind by refocusing on my personal work.
I sincerely apologize for not being able to reply to those who reached out via social media or email. I haven’t been able to check my accounts for over six months. Currently, I am conducting research on local cultural heritage. I hope to start posting about my activities on this website again, little by little.
